Abstract
This study examined the association of job enrichment and Organizational innovative behavior of Telecommunication companies in Port Harcourt. Data were gathered from 127 employees of the Telecommunication Organizations with the use of questionnaire. The Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient (Rho) was used to test the hypotheses. The result shows that job enrichment is significantly associated with employee innovative behaviors. The study concluded on the premise that job enrichment influences the extent to which work behavior can be described as innovative by impacting significantly on measures such as opportunity exploration, idea generation and championing. The study further recommended that Job enrichment practices should be enshrined in the job design to expose the workers to other facets of the workplace; this will eventually enhance their work content, increase their job autonomy and expands their network across the organization.
