Heterotricyclic Compounds via Click Reaction: A Computational Study
Pages: 80-89Authors: Zeynep Turhan Irak, Selcuk Gumus
Abstract
Dipolar cycloaddition reactions have been widely used for many years in the synthesis of five–membered heterocyclic compounds, and taken an important place in synthetic organic chemistry. In this study, the mechanism of the synthesis of heterotricyclic compounds via intramolecular Click Reaction was investigated, theoretically. The use of azide substituted cyclic five- or six-membered starting materials, provided the capture of heterotricyclic compounds in one step. Derivatization was performed by changing the ring type and geometry, and varying substituents. The reaction coordinates for all reactions were formed upon finding intermediates and transition states.
